Checking in....

Wow i really need to get the internet at home so i can keep up with this thing. I mean HELLO, it's the 21st century...who doesn't have the internet now-a-days? Anyway, as always, the past few months have flown by. I swear if there were just a few more hours in each day i could catch up, but....then again....there are those days when 8 pm (morgan's bedtime) can't come fast enough. I found out that...drumroll please...i'm STILL on the waitlist for the nursing program. Will the madness ever end??!!! I didn't make it into the spring semester so now i have my fingers crossed for the fall. I guess in a way this is a good thing because by the time i start Morgan will probably be driving and i won't have to worry about finding a babysitter haha.
So for now, I continue to work the dreadful night shift...three 12s a week...and then my other job the rest of the week as a stay-at-home-mom (which is still in the lead when it comes to which is more exhausting). It is exhausting, but so so worth it.
Morgan is 18 months old now! To say she is a bundle of energy is definately an understatement...She literally never stops. She makes messes, she breaks things, she runs into walls, spills milk on the couch, sticks things in the toilet, is fascinated with the garbage, eats soap in the bathtub, won't keep her clothes on, and writes on the wall with markers (i still haven't told taylor about that one!)...BUT...she is the light of my life. She is so entertaining and growing up right before our very eyes. I love every day with her and all the "adventures" we have together. I would do anything for that little girl...that being said...Thank the HeaVanS above for nap time!!!! I don't know what i would do without it.
Halloween came and went like a whirlwind....Johnny and Brittany came over with Jaedyn and My sister and Jeff brought Hannah. Jaedyn was a pumpkin princess, hannah was Cinderella, and Morgan was a Tulip. I will have pics soon. I got really into the spirit of things (which is not like me because i have never cared that much for halloween). I made monter eye devilled eggs and mummy dogs (pigs in a blanket). We took the girls trick or treating and it was...alright. Morgan just didn't get it...and i was ready to quit after the third house. She wouldn't stay on the sidewalk and wouldn't go up to the door to get candy!!! But eventually she saw the older girls doing it and got the hang of it....still though, i really don't think she was all that thrilled with the event haha...
Now i'm really looking forward to Christmas...I think this will such a fun year with Morgan. And my entire family is coming into town which is great because they hardly get to see Morgan. We all know that's the only reason they come to visit anymore, but i guess they're entitled to that :)
Well that's really all i have for now...i will try to post more often, with less writing :)

Pictures!

Here we are on our way to SJ so Taylor could introduce me to his family for the first time!

Our trip to Seattle

Morgan and I just returned from a week long trip to Seattle. It was much-needed vacation and it was really good to spend time with my family...even though i know they could've cared less if i were there or not, as long as they got to see morgan! So the entire trip was definately eventful...starting with the flight up there. It was just me and morgan this trip, as Taylor started training for his new position (yes, he got the promotion!!). So we were fortunate enough to be able to fly first class (thanks mom!)...however, I almost would've preferred coach when traveling with a young, rambunctious, stubborn, and sometimes incredibly vocal 13 month old! Morgan was very patient the entire three hour flight, however, she kept herself entertained by leaning over me and spitting on the poor gentleman next to us! I was MORTIFIED! She found it hilarious to spit, and grab the book out of his hand, grab his phone and throw it on the floor...she also kept standing on my stomach to peer at the people sitting behind me...other than all that, she was good :)
Seattle was beautiful! It didn't rain once the entire time we were there! Morgan had the best time playing outside in the dirt and collecting rocks...and torturing my parents' two dogs. She entertained us with her dancing and singing and her new trick...blowing kisses. I saw old freinds, had some time to go do things on my own (minus the baby for once!) and of course, saw my little brother graduate from high school...*tear :(. Now we are home, back to life as usual. We are definately glad to see Taylor though, we both missed him a lot! One morning towards the end of the trip Morgan woke up asking for her "dada"...and was walking around looking for him in all the rooms. So we called him and put him on speaker and she was SO excited...just laughing and pointing to the phone.
All in all it was a great trip...i will have pictures up soon!

So here we are!

Well i finally decided to break down and set up a blog for our family. I just figured it was a nice way for our families to see what we've been up whenever they don't have time to call. Plus I am starting to become obsessed with taking pictures and videos of Morgan...I need some place to put them all! And i know the grandmas and grandpas will love that.
So now to catch up on what we've been doing....We just moved into a beautiful new house, purchased by papa john and momma daryl...we are renting it from them and we are SO happy to be there. It's just beautiful! Although, i may be a little jaded because a cardboard box would've been better than where we were before! I have to agree that the old apartment was great because we saved a lot of money, but it felt as though we were packed like sardines in that dear, little, hole-in-the-wall of a place. But our new place is great, and even has a pool in the back! It is a TON of work to keep up, but it has just been so great this summer...and Morgan absolutely loves swimming!
Taylor is now working for Liberty Mutual, and he just had an interview to become a full time employee (as an insurance salesman!). We are 99.9 % sure he got the job...yay Taylor! He has been so nervous about it all, he really really wants this job...but from the sound of things, he's got it. He is planning to take classes this summer at MCC, just waiting to find out what his new schedule will be. Oh and his newest facination, thinking of ways to clean the pool. The other day i found him out in the pool using a 20 lbs weight to keep himself anchored to the bottom. He had this great idea to use a hose to breath out of while he stayed at the bottom of the deep end, scrubbing with a scrub brush. Needless to say, it didn't work, and he's still trying to plot out his next move. I love him...
I am still with MedAire working the night shift. 3 twelve hour shifts a week...sometimes it feels like Taylor and I are in a relay race at the Olympics...I get off in the morning, meet him halfway, and we pass poor Morgan off like a baton...then he comes home from work just in time for me to leave...it's hectic, but we are avoiding daycare. I want more than anything to be a stay at home mom, so when i'm working at night, it feels like i'm there for her every single day. And it's worth the sleep deprivation and zombie-like mood i'm in for those three days. As for school, still waiting to get in the nursing program...story of my life!
And then there's Morgan...she is officially 1 years old! I can't believe how fast this year went by. I still have pictures and videos of her as a newborn and sometimes i get a little weepy because i miss that age. I miss that new baby smell, and all the cooing and gurgling, and just how cuddly and precsious the are! Now i have this little person who is learning to be independent and doesn't want hugs and kisses all the time...and has figured out how to tell Mommy no :( But in all seriousness, she is such a joy to have in our lives. Taylor and i talk about that all the time...she was definately a surprise, but we just couldn't imagine our lives without her. She is just so facinating to watch grow and learn and develop. Her personality (which unfortuneatly is turning out to be more like her stubborn, emotional, moody mommy) is just becoming more and more evident. And she makes us laugh every day. We just love that little girl.
Well i know this was long, but we had to catch everyone up! I will put some recent pictures of Morgan and Taylor and I in the near future...
